Mark has completed a certification course to become a certified workshop leader in Strategic Doing, a dynamic alternative to strategic planning. Designed for networks instead of hierarchies, Strategic Doing "enables people to form action-oriented collaborations quickly, move them toward measurable outcomes, and make adjustments along the way." As part of the course, Mark led IU Kokomo's first SD workshop, focused on making IUK a destination campus for students. He now will oversee the campus-wide SD workshop that IUK will use to pursue its three strategic priorities:
Priority 1
Cultivating thriving, successful students
Priority 2
Distinguishing IU Kokomo as a destination campus for education and employment
Priority 3
Leading in our community through external engagement
This work has begun with the formation of five additional working groups focused on enriching the co-curricular experience, serving diverse students, engaging alumni, and more. IU Kokomo's Strategic Doing work will continue over the next few years.
